Last year, the Meltdown Comics and Collectibles shop closed its doors forever, and their wednesday night comedy show, The Meltdown, was supposed to die with it.
BUT, Howard Kremer, AKA: Dragon Boy Suede and host of the popular Who Charted podcast on Earwolf, refused to let Wednesday night comedy die. He held his first "Squatmelt" stand-up comedy show in the parking lot of the closed comic book store the very first wednesday after the closure, and from that a whole new entity has grown. Still held every Wednesday, the show has evolved into a walking comedy show where famous comedians like Matt Besser, Mike Hanford, Megan Beth Koester, Matt Braunger, and Steve Agee entertain audiences, and treat audiences to a delightful FREE adventure that moves up and down the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles.
I created some fan art that has since become the official logo for Squatmelt, and I am very proud of my association with this exciting show.
Come by any Wednesday you're in LA, and I guarantee you'll have a good time! The show is FREE!
We meet at 8pm in front of the old Steve Allen theater at 4773 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles and move East on Hollywood Blvd. and north on Vermont Ave.
And buy some merchandise (designed by me) to show your support for FREE comedy in Los Angeles!
